Features

Smart reframe

Face tracking with a smoothed path, falling back to the main moving subject, then the centre.

Blurred fit

Keep the whole landscape shot inside a vertical frame over a soft blurred copy.

Clip cutter

Frame-accurate cuts, several clips per export, with a ZIP of them all.

Highlight ideas

Finds the loudest, most energetic 30-second stretches as a starting point.

Jump cuts

Silence detection with adjustable threshold and padding, and how much time it saves.

Stays in-house

Everything runs with ffmpeg and OpenCV on our own Mac. No cloud APIs, no ads, no tracking.

FAQ

How does smart follow choose what to keep?

It looks at about six frames a second. If it sees a face it follows the biggest one (sticking with the same person when there are several); with no face it follows whatever is moving most; otherwise it holds still. Small movements are ignored and the path is smoothed so the crop glides instead of shaking.

Which files and links work?

MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM and MKV files up to 500 MB and 15 minutes, and public TikTok, Instagram and YouTube links. Anything else is refused.

How long does it take?

Roughly real time or faster for 1080p. Smart follow reads the video twice, so it's the slowest. Jobs run one or two at a time; yours shows its place in the queue.

What happens to my video?

It's processed on our own Mac and deleted, with the results, an hour later. Nothing is sent to any outside service.

The silence remover cut too much or too little.

Use Preview cuts first. Lower the threshold (e.g. -45 dB) if quiet speech is being cut, raise it if background noise counts as sound. Raise the minimum silence to keep natural pauses.
